Major individual/HUF income categories are included, but this remains an estimate—not an ITR computation engine. It does not automate capital-gain exemptions/indexation elections, loss set-off or carry-forward, Chapter VI-A eligibility, treaty/foreign-tax relief, AMT, firm/company taxation, marginal relief for every mixed-income combination, or interest under sections 423–425. Review source documents before payment or filing.

Eligibility and instalments update from your income entries
A resident individual aged 60 or more is exempt only when there is no income chargeable under “Profits and gains of business or profession”. Others generally become liable when advance tax payable is ₹10,000 or more. Interest and event-based relief for capital gains/dividends arising after an instalment date require a date-wise professional computation.

This is a common-case decision aid, not a complete withholding engine. Payer/payee status, exemptions, lower/nil deduction certificates, declarations, timing, GST exclusion, treaty provisions, special rates and transition rules can change the outcome. From 1 April 2026, quote the applicable section 393 table item rather than only the former 194-series number.

The revised ₹25,000 EPF/EPS ceiling is applied for current calculations from 17 September 2026. EPS eligibility, higher-pension options, international workers, excluded employees, 10% contribution establishments, EDLI and administration charges need separate review. ESI coverage can continue for the full contribution period after wages cross the ceiling.
